PA-CF20 · Toughness-Oriented Carbon-Fiber-Reinforced Copolyamide

SpiderMaker PA-CF20 uses a carbon-fiber-reinforced copolyamide formulation. Rather than prioritizing extremely high rigidity, it is designed around toughness, impact resistance, heat resistance, and reduced brittleness, making it suitable for functional parts exposed to bending, impact, and long-term use.

With an HDT of 141.5°C, 19.63% elongation at break, and 40.8 kJ/m² unnotched Charpy impact strength, PA-CF20 combines heat resistance with ductile toughness in a carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon material.

Toughness-Oriented · Impact Resistant · Less Prone to Brittle Fracture

HDT 141.5°C · For Heat-Resistant, Long-Service Functional Parts

SpiderMaker PA-CF20 Features

Toughness-Oriented Formulation

Designed to balance ductility and durability rather than maximize rigidity, reducing the risk of brittle fracture under bending or impact.

Strong Impact Resistance

An unnotched Charpy impact strength of 40.8 kJ/m² makes it suitable for parts exposed to impact, vibration, or repeated operation.

HDT 141.5°C

Provides heat resistance for functional applications beyond the typical service range of standard PLA and PETG.

Ductile and Less Brittle

An elongation at break of 19.63% supports designs involving clips, bending, or pulling better than brittle carbon-fiber engineering materials.

Carbon-Fiber Matte Appearance

The carbon fiber produces a refined, low-glare engineering finish suitable for housings, fixtures, and professional-looking functional parts.

500g and 1kg Options

Choose 500g for material evaluation and lower-volume engineering use, or 1kg for long print jobs, production fixtures, and continuing applications.

Recommended Applications

Heat-Resistant Functional Parts Jigs and Fixtures Protective Housings Clips and Connectors Impact-Resistant Mechanical Parts Long-Service Components

In-House R&D · Made in Taiwan

SpiderMaker independently develops its PA-CF20 formulation and manufactures the filament at its own factory in Pingzhen, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Material drying, compounding, filament production, diameter control, and quality management are handled by a professional in-house team.

Printing and Storage Tips

  • PA-CF20 is a moisture-sensitive engineering material. Dry at 70°C for at least 8 hours before printing; feeding from a filament dryer during printing is recommended.
  • Carbon fiber is abrasive. Use a hardened-steel or other wear-resistant nozzle, preferably 0.6mm or larger.
  • For initial testing, start near 260°C nozzle temperature and 65°C bed temperature, with the cooling fan kept low or at 30% or below, then adjust for the model and printer.
  • This material is more difficult to print than standard PLA or PETG. Large parts, uneven wall thicknesses, and models with small bed-contact areas require particular attention to warping and first-layer adhesion.
  • Reduce ambient airflow and maintain a stable printing temperature. For large parts, consider an enclosed printer, nylon-compatible bed adhesion methods, and anti-warp design features.
  • Seal the filament immediately after use with desiccant. If bubbling, popping sounds, rough surfaces, or unstable extrusion occur, dry the filament again before printing.
  • This product is intended for heat resistance, impact resistance, and toughness. It should not be treated as a direct replacement for metal or continuous-carbon-fiber structures based solely on the design assumptions used for high-rigidity carbon-fiber materials.
