Tough-250 · Ultra Toughness and Exceptional Drop Resistance

SpiderMaker Tough-250 is an ultra-tough engineering UV resin developed for high-impact, drop-resistant, and deformation-tolerant applications. Its unnotched Charpy impact strength exceeds 125 kJ/m², helping printed parts resist brittle failure when dropped or struck. It is especially suitable for functional parts that require repeated use and impact resistance.

With 33.7% elongation at break, the material combines good ductility with structural support. It is suitable for snap-fits, fasteners, drop-resistant housings, mechanical parts, and printed parts that require drilling or tapping. For assembly tolerances, print a test part first to confirm actual shrinkage and fit.

In-House R&D · Made in Taiwan

SpiderMaker develops the Tough-250 formulation in-house and manages production and quality control in Pingzhen, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Raw-material selection, formulation, color control, and product inspection are all handled by its professional team.

SpiderMaker Tough-250 Features

Ultra-High Impact Resistance

With unnotched Charpy impact strength exceeding 125 kJ/m², it withstands drops, impacts, and repeated use, making it suitable for functional parts that require exceptional drop resistance.

High Ductility and Toughness

An elongation at break of 33.7% allows parts to deform under load and reduces the sudden brittle failure often associated with conventional rigid resins.

Suitable for Snap-Fits and Fasteners

Suitable for snap-fits, fasteners, retaining clips, and connecting parts that require temporary elastic deformation and repeated assembly.

Suitable for Drilling and Tapping

Good toughness helps reduce cracking during drilling, tapping, and subsequent assembly, making it suitable for printed parts that require screw fastening or machining.

Maintains Fine Detail

In addition to high toughness, it reproduces small structures, surface textures, and complex geometries for models that require both appearance and function.

Broad 405nm Compatibility

Compatible with Phrozen, Elegoo, Anycubic, and other 405nm LCD / DLP UV resin printers.

Recommended Applications

Drop-Resistant Protective Housings Snap-Fits and Fasteners Retaining Clips and Connectors Mechanical Parts Parts for Drilling and Tapping High-Impact Functional Prototypes

Published settings are based primarily on a 0.05 mm layer height and Phrozen printers. Exposure, lift, and retract settings should still be adjusted according to light intensity, release-film condition, model size, and ambient conditions.

Washing and Post-Curing Recommendations

  1. After printing, remove uncured surface resin with alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Avoid prolonged soaking. After washing, make sure liquid on the surface, in holes, and inside the part has completely evaporated.
  3. After the part is completely dry, evenly UV post-cure it for 30 minutes as the initial recommendation.
  4. The degree of post-curing affects the final rigidity and toughness. When adjusting post-curing conditions, confirm them with a test part before applying them to final components.

Use and Storage

  • Shake or stir the resin thoroughly before use to prevent pigments or other components from settling and affecting print results.
  • For snap-fits, threads, hole positions, or assembly tolerances, print a test part first and adjust the model according to actual shrinkage.
  • Use suitable tools and feed rates when drilling or tapping, and confirm the machining conditions with scrap material or a test part first.
  • This material has an HDT of 49.9°C and is not recommended for prolonged high-temperature exposure or high-temperature load-bearing environments.
  • Filter unused resin through a fine filter before returning it to the original bottle to prevent debris from entering.
  • Keep the resin away from direct sunlight and other UV sources. Seal the bottle tightly and store it in a cool place.
  • Wear suitable gloves and maintain good ventilation when handling liquid resin.
