ColorMix · 100% Printable Resin for Free Color Mixing

SpiderMaker ColorMix is a transparent primary-color UV resin that can be printed directly or mixed with Crystal, ModelWorks Matte White, or other ColorMix primary colors. Translucent Blue can be printed on its own for a transparent blue appearance or mixed in any ratio for custom colors, without the maximum addition limits normally associated with dyes or pigment pastes.

100% Directly Printable · Free Mixing at Any Ratio

Combine ColorMix Primary Colors, Crystal, and ModelWorks Matte White as Needed

In-House R&D · Made in Taiwan

SpiderMaker develops the ColorMix formulation in-house and manages production and quality control in Pingzhen, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Raw-material selection, color-component dispersion, formulation, manufacturing, and product inspection are all handled by its professional team.

SpiderMaker ColorMix Features

100% Directly Printable

The transparent blue formulation is a complete printable UV resin and can be used directly without adding another base resin.

Mix with Crystal for Transparent Colors

Mix with Crystal in any ratio to create transparent-colored parts with different color intensities.

Mix with ModelWorks Matte White for Solid Colors

Mix with ModelWorks Matte White to create a variety of solid colors with a matte appearance. White will reduce color intensity, so a small test batch is recommended first.

Freely Mix the Three Primary Colors

Translucent Red, Translucent Yellow, and Translucent Blue can be mixed to create extended colors such as orange, green, and purple.

Pre-Dispersed Formulation · Printable at Any Mixing Ratio

Excessive concentrations of conventional dyes or pigment pastes may reduce 405nm light transmission and alter the curing reaction. ColorMix remains printable even when used at 100%. When mixed with compatible ColorMix colors, Crystal, or ModelWorks Matte White, it is not subject to the maximum addition limits normally associated with conventional colorants.

Color-Mixing Methods

With Crystal

Create custom transparent colors and adjust their intensity through the ColorMix mixing ratio.

With ModelWorks Matte White

Create a variety of solid colors with a matte appearance. White resin reduces color intensity, and the final color depends on the mixing ratio. Prepare a small test batch first to confirm the desired shade.

Mix the Three ColorMix Colors

Translucent Red, Translucent Yellow, and Translucent Blue can be mixed to create colors such as orange, green, and purple. Adjust the hue and intensity through the mixing ratio.

Printing-Parameter Reminder When mixing with Crystal, ModelWorks Matte White, or other ColorMix colors, the original resin settings can generally be used as starting values. Actual exposure should still be calibrated according to the mixing ratio, color intensity, printer model, and light-source condition.

Recommended Applications

Suitable for transparent colored models, custom color mixing, art installations, colored lighting pieces, display prototypes, and experimental creations.

Print Settings

Recommended Phrozen printer settings for ColorMix are available on the UV resin print settings page. Click the button below to go directly to the ColorMix section.

View Complete ColorMix Print Settings

Published settings are based primarily on ColorMix used on its own at a 0.05 mm layer height with Phrozen printers. After mixing, exposure, lift, and retract settings should still be adjusted according to the mixing ratio, color intensity, light intensity, release-film condition, model size, and ambient conditions.

Washing and Post-Curing Recommendations

  1. After printing, remove uncured surface resin with alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Avoid prolonged soaking. After washing, make sure liquid on the surface, in holes, and inside the part has completely evaporated.
  3. After the part is completely dry, post-cure it evenly under UV light for 30 minutes.
  4. Rotate thick-walled, deep-hole, or complex parts so all surfaces receive more even UV exposure.

Use and Storage

  • Shake or stir each resin thoroughly before measuring and mixing the required amounts.
  • Use a digital scale to record each mixing ratio so similar colors can be reproduced later.
  • Mix thoroughly and allow bubbles introduced during stirring to dissipate before printing.
  • For assembly tolerances or dimensional fits, print a test part first and adjust the model according to actual shrinkage.
  • If internal bubbles appear in transparent parts, first review the pouring and stirring methods. Reduce lift speed when necessary and confirm with a test print.
  • Store unused mixed resin in an opaque, sealable container clearly labeled with the ratio and date. Returning it to the original component bottles is not recommended.
  • Filter unmixed resin through a fine filter before returning it to the original bottle to prevent debris from entering.
  • Keep the resin away from direct sunlight and other UV sources. Seal the bottle tightly and store it in a cool place.
  • Wear suitable gloves and maintain good ventilation when handling liquid resin.
